Getting Started

Q: How do door staff access the check-in system?

Share the unique check-in link for your event, which can be found at the top of your event page. Staff open the link on any phone or browser, enter their name, and they’re in, no account or app download required.

Q: Do staff need to create an account?

No. The check-in link is all they need. Anyone with the link can access it, so keep it private and only share with your team.

Q: Can multiple staff members use the system at the same time?

Yes. Multiple devices can be logged in simultaneously and check-in counts update in real time across all of them.

Q: How do I share the check-in link with my door team?

On the check-in home screen, tap the Share button (top right corner) to copy the link or send it directly.

Check-In Modes

Ketchup offers two ways to check guests in: QR scanning and manual list search.

QR Code Scanning

Q: How does QR scanning work?

Tap “Start check-in” on the home screen, then “Open scanner.” Point your device camera at the QR code on a guest’s ticket. The app confirms the ticket instantly.

Q: Does Ketchup store or record camera footage?

No. The camera is only used to read the QR code in the moment. Nothing is saved or recorded.

Q: The scanner won’t open. What’s wrong?

The app needs camera permission from your device. When prompted, tap “Allow.” If you previously denied it, go to your browser or phone settings and enable camera access for this site.

💡 QR scanning is fastest for high-volume doors. Use it as your primary check-in method when possible.
